Rain Rain Go Away

It has been raining for 2 days now. No let up either. I know we need the rain, but it's horrible for making a person feel lazy. LJ and I slept in this morning until after 9:00 and I haven't felt like doing much of anything all day. I hate days like this. Hopefully it'll let up some tomorrow. I need to go buy a few groceries.

I have a bunch of new recipes I want to try thanks to a thread devoted to $5 meals. Lots of tasty sounding simple cheap meals. Those are the best kind. I'm finally going to try tator tot casserole too. Old Duggar family favorite. I'll be sizing it down considering I don't have near 20 people to feed. How that lady does it I have no idea. I barely make it day to day with the 3 I have.

Off to be lazy for the rest of the evening. Have to accomplish some sewing when the girls finally go to bed though.

Yep, we got the HSM 2 soundtrack for christmas and we quickly learned the words to the bonus track. Fun song to sing!

Here is a link to a You Tube video of the song

I've been singing it over and over. My dear sweet husband think I've finally lost it.

Christmas puked in my house

Yep...it sure did. My house was clean and now it looks like christmas puked all throughout it! There are presents and empty boxes everywhere. I'm glad christmas is over but the clean up and organizing afterwards are just as stressful as shopping and preparing. Good thing I'm off work until Jan 2. I'll be busy organizing toys until then.

Click on the silly LJ picture to view a montage of our christmas pics. It's my first montage and it was a doozy to put together. hehe. Thought it would be easier than posting a bunch of pics here. Not so sure.

The kids had a great christmas. We still have to go to my parent's house on Saturday. I'll be glad when it's all over with.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Well, it's finally here. Christmas day. I'm ready to hit the hay, but I have a few more things to do. I caught a peak at Santa. He left lots behind for the kids. He must've had his beer goggles on because they got way more than they deserved. Apparently sibling rivalry doesn't get you on the naughty list. Geesh.

Here are a few pics from our fun tonight. We started the Christmas Eve jammies tradition this year and I was bummed I couldn't find the "bob-bob" flannel to make LJ a pair of pants to match the girls jammies I found at Target. He loved the girls pants!

LJ should've asked Santa for an attitude adjustment. This has been what he looks like most of the day for the last few days. Maybe it's his 2 year molars...or man PMS. Who knows, but he's been one cranky guy.

And just to show it's not only the youngest ones who would rather play with the boxes and trash

Santa is on his way

Crunch time. I'm so far from ready for tonight. I have lots left to do. Wrapping gifts, embroidery, crafts to complete. Eeek! And look where I am..sitting at my blog. Well, in my defense since most of it is for the kids, I can't really do it while they're awake.

I've obviously been quite bored today since I've blogged 3 times in one day now. It's actually feels kinda nice not having anything to do. I've been so busy until now that it's very nice!

Well, Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night

Welcome to AVDesigns

Well, it's been in my thoughts for a few months now and it's finally real. I'm so excited! It's my own store! I'm part of a congo on hyenacart with a group of wonderful WAHMs. I wanted to branch out so I'm opening my own store IN ADDITION TO the congo. I will just be able to offer a larger variety of items.

Here's the sneak peak. I'm not live yet. I have to get my items together to stock for my grand opening. It will probably be February before I go live.

Merry B!tchin Christmas Eve

Put so well by my friend Kate. It's Christmas Eve. My kids are giving me an extra special early christmas gift by sleeping in late and letting me enjoying some quiet morning time! Woohoo. I'm so thankful.

I've got lots to do to finish up for christmas. I've only wrapped 3 gifts...nothing like waiting until the last minute.

Alyssa got home okay yesterday. She had a blast. They had some bad winds Saturday night that knocked the power out all night but Alyssa said "We weren't cold, we were in bed under the covers" Kids...nothing bothers them. I would've been sitting as close to the fireplace as physically possible.

Merry B!tchin Christmas Eve everyone.

My baby is gone

Alyssa left today for her trip to the mountains with her best friend Caitlin. She was so excited. I was scared to let her go. I talked to her tonight and she's having a blast.

And speaking of the mountains, I have pics to share from Thanksgiving. We spend Thanksgiving in beautiful Tennessee. It's been such a long time since I've been to the moutains this time of year. It was so nice.

Sunset view. Isn't this gorgeous?!

Merry Christmas...are you ready?

Finish making christmas items, wrap gifts, send out cards....oh CRAP---I never had christmas cards printed. Yep, I failed to organize this year and I didn't get christmas cards out.

Well, Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

Photobucket

I was excited that I actually got LJ to stand in this picture! It's the best I'm going to get without getting a pro....of course even then I'm not guaranteed a good picture.

I enjoyed sewing the outfits for the kids. Alyssa didn't like her dress that much because she didn't care for the paisley print. I think it's adorable and I already have more spring colored paisley print for dresses for both of them!

Stress level lowered

After my horrible, no good, very bad weekend....I'm getting caught up. I embroidered inserts for 5 travel mugs and put together hot cocoa mix for the kids' teachers and finished up two adorable reversible apron and oven mitt sets for a co-worker.

First I set these on the counter and they spelled out DAME...so I did some juggling and thought it appropriate to spell out MADE since I made them. Yes, I know..I'm a dork.
Photobucket

This one is different because the 2nd grade aide is a man and I thought this font was more appropriate than the fun funky print I used on the others.

And this is what each teacher got. The letter is the first letter in their last name

And the apron sets. Aren't they adorable?

Time for Change

With the new years comes change. I've decided it's time to pull myself out of the rut I've been stuck in. I'm getting a new look, new job and getting back into church. No more excuses. I can't fix my hair because I am too busy in the morning...nope..getting a new do! I can't go to church because it's during LJ's naptime and the only day I can sleep in..nope..doesn't matter..they have a nursery and I can nap after church. And the job..well...I'm sick of driving 70 miles a day to work and home and spending an entire week of pay on gas. And I'm tired of getting home an hour after I clock out for the day and still having to worry about supper and housework.

I'm looking at short hairstyles. I'm thinking a cute little bob..very short in the back and a little longer in the front? I want something not too difficult to style, but cute. I'm searching online for pics...got any suggestions?

And church..I visited a church last Sunday and I'm looking forward to next Sunday. I enjoyed the service. I'm going to go to the Christmas Eve service as well. Hopefully LJ will be good..or maybe they'll have the nursery open for babies.

OK..almost quitting time..better run my days end reports and get the heck out of here. Head back home to BF Egypt....in the dark since it's 5:30 now.
