7 Years

Joe and I recently celebrated out 7th wedding anniversary. This year we decided to plan to trip somewhere for just the two of us. After some thought, we decided on Savannah, GA. Neither of us had been there so it would be new to us.

We arrived in town on Thanksgiving day and we're staying until Sunday. So far the trip has been wonderful! Today we did an on/off trolley tour. We got to see the major historic sites of Savannah and got lots of great pics. Tomorrow we're going to check out the Railroad Museum where I hope to get good pics for LJ. We'll also see the Nutcracker Ballet at the Lucas Theater. Isn't my hubby the best for taking me to a ballet on our vacation? I love this guy.

Thankful

I have so much to be thankful for in my life! A lot of my friends on facebook are posting each day about what they are thankful for. I didn't do it, so I thought I'd post here.

1. My parents. Without them I wouldn't have made it were I am today. I made mistakes in my past but they always stood by me and encouraged me. I love you Mom and Dad.
2. My siblings. I am so thankful to have 2 sisters and 2 brothers to go through life with.
3. My husband. Thanks to my oldest sister, I met my husband 9 years ago. Life hasn't always been easy for us, but we've stuck through and we just celebrated out 7 year anniversary.
4. My kids. I pull my hair out many days, but my world is complete with my three beautiful babies in it.
5. My family. I value family very much and love having most of my family close to me so we can see them often.
6. My job. I have a wonderful job and am very thankful for that. I love the staff and my boss and feel right at home.

I have tons more to be thankful for, but for now this will do. I know I feel like I am always wanting more of something, but when I really think about it I know that I have everything I need and am thankful to God that He has blessed me with my rich life.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Freezer Paper Stencil

Print or draw your image onto the non shiny side of freezer paper. For this image, I just cut a piece of freezer paper to 8.5 x 11 and printed the image on the paper. Then using an Xacto knife, cut out the pieces you want to be painted.

After you have finished cutting the image out, iron down the freezer paper onto your shirt.

Then, using fabric paint, paint the shirt. Be careful not to go outside the border of the freezer paper (learned this the hard way when I was on a roll hurrying through a shirt)

You may need to do more than one coat of paint. After the paint starts to dry, check for spots that you might have missed. I had to do two coats on this shirt. When the paint is completely dry, peel off the freezer paper. Follow the directions on the paint you're using for finishing the paint. The one I am using directs that you let the paint air dry for 24 hours and then heat set with an iron.
