Yesterday I was driving somewhere and passed the sign for the lake campgrounds and thought it would be fun to spend the day at the lake with the kids. So we invited mom and dad and ben and krystin. We had fun.
The kids couldn't wait to get in the water for the first time this year! The water was COLD!!! They didn't seem to mind too much. LJ went right on in and probably would've stayed all day in the water. He's my little water bug though. We grilled out for an early dinner and then packed up and came home.
I am planning to take the kids to the lake more often this summer. Sure wish I could be in the sun more though. Would make it more fun for me.

They have arrived!
Yes, they're here. The lovely mounds are popping up all over the yard. We even have one near the woods that is about 3ft. long and 1ft. wide! I've never seen a mound that big. It's outrageous. I really really hate the summertime up here. The ants seem to love coming in the house and with out dark carpet you can't see them. You realize they're there when they biting your feet! Then they get in the beds and you spend an hour killing them before you can lay down to sleep. OMG. I just want to cry thinking about the trouble we have every summer. Last year we made it to sometime mid June before the invaded the house.
