I finally dove in headfirst. I mixed up my colors and even mixed a couple for additional colors. I only have the primary colored dyes right now, but I hope to purchase some additional colors to keep from having to mix. Here's what I did today. I haven't decided what to do with the yarn yet. Leave it natural, or dye the other 3rd red. Made me think instantly of peppers!
And here's the homemade yarn swift I made. I'll definitely be getting a wooden one made, but this will do for now.

Riding with Daddy
The kids all rode with Joe on the 4-wheeler. And when I say all..I mean ALL 3 at one time. LOL Trinity finally got over her shyness and decided to take a spin on it. She's in love now too. They're out riding around right now.
I got some more of them riding, but apparently I was a little shaky. They all came out blurry. Oh well.
And in close for tonight..here's a little funny. I found a good site, so I'm going to try to add a comic everyday.

The First Day Home
Well, this is the first day since summer break started that I'm home with the kids. Normally I have my Friday mornings with just LJ and I get some things done around the house without girls fighting. Not today. Gotta think of some things to do to keep all 3 kids busy this summer! Not an easy task.
I've got some more pictures to upload, but I'll do it later. So, check back.

Memorial Day Fun
We had a cookout at Joe's parent's house yesterday and we all had a great time. LJ had Sydney to play with. We weren't quite sure how the two would play together, but from the pictures you can get an idea of how it went. They were so sweet. Two very feisty kids playing so nicely together.
LJ pushed her on the swing and rode her on his 4-wheeler and then managed to steal a kiss! What a goof.

Playing Catch Up
I've been neglecting this blog so I'm going to try to catch up. I've got lots of pictures to share. Starting with the craft fair. I snapped a few shots of my setup. Nothing too fancy, but it worked. Too bad it was a bust!
And then a quick pic of the miracle of life Joe and I saw on our front porch the other day. Of course, we ran to grab the camera. This shot was the best.
On our recent trip to Edisto, the family drove out to the camp to let LJ see the cows. I got a few pics while we were there. Including this awesome shot of a black widow that was sitting inside the door to the fallout shelter. Among the other creatures hanging out where some horribly nasty looking roaches. Didn't care for a pic of those. hehe
My mom and dad
Some scenic shots
Then for Mother's Day we ate at Hope's house. LJ finally got a chance to play with Drew (3 weeks older than LJ). He wasn't very nice though. Makes me realize that he needs to have some interaction with other kids. He walked up to Drew and pushed him down. Then later as they were playing in this little house, he was being sweet until Drew walked over near the door and then LJ walked over and pushed Drew out the door. Mean kid! What will I do with him?
And last but not least, here is a pic of LJ riding the 4-wheeler. Joe finally sold his boat and replaced it with a 4-wheeler. It's fun. Alyssa and LJ love it. Trinity hasn't tried it out yet.

Field Day turned ER
May 2, 2008
Field day at Dearing Elem. Started out like any other day. The kids got ready for school dresses in their blue shirts for the blue team and tennis shoes for fast running to win the games. They left…I wished them a good day…said I love you…and drove away.
Around 12:00 I get a phone call and it was Trinity’s teacher. Mrs. Meadows told me Trinity had fallen and hit her head. She wasn’t bleeding but she was very upset. I needed to come to the school. I dressed and changed LJ and headed to the school…hoping she was just fine and upset and not seriously hurt. Driving fast, but not speeding too badly. I pull into the school and spot the ambulance. Oh my gosh..my baby is seriously hurt. I rush to get LJ out of the car as Dr. Hughes (the principal) comes out of the building. She leads me down the hall where I see paramedics and teachers all around my baby laying on the floor. I hold back tears because Trinity is starting to cry again. I rub her arm and tell her it’s okay. They then tell me what happened.
They had finished up the games and were standing in line for the lunchroom. They had a late lunch because of field day. Then all of a sudden for no reason at all Trinity fell to the floor hitting her head on the baseboard. The teachers rushed to her and she was fighting them when they tried to help her up. She was a bit confused and combative they said. There was a grandma there helping with field day that works with EMS and she came to her. They called me and the ambulance and then at one point they tried to sit her up and she had a glazed look in her eyes. They laid her back down and waited until I got there. The paramedics checked her stats and her sugar level. They said she didn’t even cry when they pricked her finger for the sugar check. My brave baby.
Alyssa was very upset about it. She said she saw Trinity fall down. And Trinity’s friend Kaylee was so upset they had to take her out of the lunchroom to calm her down. As we were leaving to take her to the ER, a friend (Justin) was leaving and wanted to check on Trinity. Justin’s mom said that there were several kids in the classroom crying..worried about Trinity.
We didn’t wait long at the ER. The nurse (not friendly at all) checked her stats and asked her a few questions. Then they put her in the room and did an EKG and some blood tests. Everything checked out fine. They wanted her to drink plenty of fluids and stay cool and calm the rest of the day. She was fine. By that point, she just wanted to go home.
Saturday was the Mayfest and everyone from school was asking if she was okay. She’s had enough attention she said. When I told her that everyone was going to ask on Monday if she was okay she said this
“I’m going to ask Mrs. Meadows…can I make an announcement? I’M FINE PEOPLE.” haha! My girl is a mess. I’m so happy she’s okay.
We still don’t know why she fainted. She never got a goosehead on her head and never had a headache afterwards. Seemed odd to me. Dr. said it could’ve been because she’d been running around all morning, sweating and hadn’t had any food on her stomach. Her body just got weak. She’s going next week for a check with Dr. Hanna.
