Surgery is scheduled

We had LJ's pre-op appointment today with Dr. Howell. He's scheduled for surgery on October 5. I decided to take the first surgery which means I'll have to have him at MCG CMC at 6:45 AM!! Surgery will start at 7:30. It's gonna be a long day. I'm going to fall asleep while he's in surgery. That's too FC (don't ask) early for me.

OK..It's finally the weekend. A super long 4 day weekend too. We're going to the riverhouse this weekend. Probably just for Saturday and Sunday. I'm going to take my sewing machine though because I have to finish up some clothes for the kids for winter. I want to have them made and out of the way so there's no rush when the weather starts to cool down. Not that I'm expecting it anytime soon. Gotta love livin' in the south!

Forgot about this blog!

Hmm..I forgot I had signed up and started this thing. I guess I have too many other things going on to remember to write here.

My online boutique is going well. I'm staying pretty busy from it. I'm working on a halloween costume for a friend's little boy. She wanted him to be Pablo from the Backyardigans. It was a challenge, but I think I've got it all figured out. The shirt is cut out and the pants are almost done (all but the legs hemmed, but I need to get the inseam measurement from Gred). I think it will be adorable!




I'll post pics of the finished costume when I'm done.

I can't decide what I want LJ to be for halloween. I want a way out there...contest winning costume. I am thinking Frankenstein, Dracula, Superman or Harry Potter. Joe says HELL NO to Harry Potter. I think it would be cute. Oh well. If I do Dracula..I'll make him a black suit and a red vest with a cape. That would be really cute and I could spike his hair. I just can't decide.

Well, tomorrow LJ goes for his pre-op appointment. He has to have a circumcision revision. He's come down with a cold, so I'm not sure if they'll schedule it right away. We'll find out tomorrow.
Potty training is going well. He's (in my opinion) doing really well for his age. I just hope he doesn't get bored with it and give it up. I need at least one kiddo that is super easy to PT.

OK..off to bed now. I'm sure we'll be sitting around MCG CMC for a while tomorrow. I'm not really looking forward to it..The appt. is during LJ's morning naptime!

So bored!!!

I have a hundred things I could be doing but I've planted myself in front of this darned computer again. I need to be working on my sewing or doing laundry or dishes. Ha..they'll have to wait.
LJ learned how to drink out of a straw last weekend. i was so proud of him. i can't believe how quickly he's learning new things now. It seems like everyday he learns something new!

Knitting

Well. I'm trying so hard to get this knitting thing down. I started a washcloth today at work and got 1/2way through a row and put it away because lunch was over....when I picked it back up tonight I totally screwed it up! I ended up unravelling it all because I couldn't figure out WTF I did to it. Haha

I guess I'll stick to recycled wool longies/shorties/soakers until I can master a simple washcloth knitting.

What a weekend

Well..my baby boy turned one last week and he had a John Deere themed birthday party Saturday. There were lots of people here! We had taco salad and ended up not really having enough. Oops. My mother-in-law made the cakes and they were delicious. LJ had a blast getting into his cake! He had icing all over his hands and then started slinging his hands around which in turn slung icing everywhere! hehe. He even was nice enough to share his icing with his grandparents.

I did absolutely nothing today. I tried knitting a diaper cover but once again screwed up on the darn thing. I swear I have no clue what to do to make it right. Stupid thing!

Finally set this thing up

Wow..boring choices for fonts! You think the technology of fonts would have ventured to blogs. I've been meaning to set one of these things up for ages now. I always have so much to say and not a bunch of people to listen to me saying it! HAHA.

Hmm..now that I have somewhere to say what I have to say I can't think of anything.

Okay..a little about me: I was born May 31, 1981. I graduated high school in 1999 and made the biggest mistake of my life the day after I graduated. I married a complete loser because i was pregnant with his baby. We went on to have one more child together and then finally we split up. I went back to school and became a certified dental assistant. In the meantime I met my wonderful husband when my sis set me up on a blind date with a guy she knew. We started dating in July and were engaged by Thanksgiving weekend that same year. He proposed to me from deep beneath the ground in front of a magnificent waterfall (Ruby Falls). I left him in May that next year and we were split up (but still friends) for a year. Then some bad stuff happened and we ended up getting back together. He asked if I wanted the ring back and I said yes. We planned a wedding for Nov. 13, 2004. We had a wonderful, beautiful wedding. Fast forward to mother's day weekend 2005 and welcome fatherhood! Hehe. I was pregnant with our son. Two years later and we're a happy little family. We've had our trials and tribulations but we're making it through that first few tough years of marriage.

Guess that tells a little about me though not a lot when you think of it. I'm off to get some supper.
